The AI Policy and Compliance SIG is an active, dedicated initiative within the Open Regulatory Compliance (ORC) Working Group. This SIG formalises the working group’s efforts to help open source communities and the tech industry navigate the rapidly growing landscape of Artificial Intelligence regulation, policy, and standardisation. While the overarching ORC Working Group is chartered to address any kind of emerging regulation impacting open source, the scope of this SIG is strictly focused on AI.
The SIG will work across multiple markets, addressing the diverse and evolving regulations touching upon AI policy and compliance worldwide. To ensure a cohesive approach to intersecting regulatory challenges, this group will also maintain active, ongoing cooperation with the established Cyber Resilience SIG.
